UPE (Upsilon Pi Epsilon) is a national honor society for the computing sciences, established for the promotion of high scholarship and original investigation in Computer Science. The requirements for admission are as follows:

Step 1. Calculate total quality points earned. To do this:

This sum includes credits for courses failed (F, FAB, FIN, FPN, WF, WU) as well as for courses passed with a grade of A+ through D. Grades of ABS, INC, P, NC, PEN, R, W, WA or Z are not included in this sum.
Step 3. To calculate the GPA.
Divide the Quality Points earned (sum from step 1)
by the total number of credits taken (sum from step 2).
