Step 2.  Add the total number of credits.

    This sum includes credits for courses failed (F, FAB, FIN, FPN, WF, WU) as well as for courses passed with a grade of A+ through D.  Grades of ABS, INC, P, NC, PEN, R, W, WA or Z are not included in this sum.

Step 3.  To calculate the GPA.

Divide the Quality Points earned (sum from step 1) by the total number of credits taken (sum from step 2).
